If you want to lose fat and build muscle, what you do in the gym is only part of the equation. Diet plays a massive role in your overall physique, and many different diets out there will help you achieve your goals. But when it comes to getting results from your diet, how much time do you spend working out?
That’s where this list comes in! In it, we’ll show you five of the best exercises that melt fat fast. These exercises can be done at home or any gym—they don’t require equipment or a particular training program. They’re also effective because they use large muscle groups like legs and back while also requiring balance (which burns more calories).
What are the Best Fat Melter Exercises?
Doing these simple movements regularly over time will help tighten up loose skin around your midsection while also strengthening core muscles like abs.
Jumping rope is a great cardio exercise that can be done anywhere. It’s easy to do, and it’s fun! This simple exercise can help you burn calories and improve your health. You can use the jump rope as a warm-up or cool down for other exercises or on its own to increase speed, agility, coordination and endurance.
Burpees are a full-body exercise that is great for burning fat and building endurance. They’re also rare exercises that can be modified to suit everyone, from beginners to athletes.
To do a standard burpee:
- Stand with your hands on your hips (A).
- Then jump both feet back into plank position (B).
- Next, drop down into a pushup position (C), then return to a standing position (D). That’s one rep!
Run Sprints Up Stairs
Running upstairs is a great way to burn fat because it improves cardiovascular endurance and builds muscle. Plus, it’s easy to do anywhere there are stairs—no gym membership is required!
- Start at the bottom of the staircase and run up as fast as possible without stopping. When you get to the top, walk down one step at a time until you’re back on solid ground.
- Do this exercise 20 times in total (10 sets). Try not to rest between sets; instead, take 30 seconds between each batch so your heart rate can recover before starting again. If running upstairs isn’t challenging enough, consider adding a weight vest or ankle weights for added resistance.
Do Treadmill/Elliptical Intervals
Treadmill/elliptical intervals are great for burning fat and building muscle, especially if you’re new to the gym. They’re easy to learn and can be done at home or in the gym. If you want to try this out for yourself, here’s what you’ll need: A treadmill or elliptical machine with an adjustable incline, a timer that counts down from 5 minutes, and your favorite workout music!
And now for the workout itself: Warm up for five minutes on low speed with no incline (just so your body gets used to moving). Then increase the speed of your treadmill (or increase its incline) by one level each time until it reaches 10 miles an hour—you should feel like you’re jogging.
Once there, keep going until your timer hits 0 seconds—this is when your interval starts! Use this opportunity to work up a sweat by running as fast as possible until your timer hits 5 minutes again. Then go right back into another five-minute interval at full speed/incline before cooling down again with two more low-intensity intervals at the endpoints defined above.
Bike sprints are the most efficient way to burn fat and calories. They’re so effective that professional athletes and Olympians often use them to eliminate unwanted body fat.
Build muscle: Bike sprints help you build muscle and lose weight, which means you’ll be more toned and have a flatter stomach.
Improve cardiovascular health: The increased heart rate caused by bike sprints also helps strengthen your cardiovascular system, which means you’ll perform better in other activities, such as running or swimming.
This exercise is one of the best fat melters. Why? Because it’s a plyometric exercise. Plyometric is a form of training focusing on explosive movements, which means you get more benefits with less time in the gym. It also improves your power and strength, making it easier to do everyday tasks like climbing stairs and carrying heavy shopping bags.
Squat jumps are one of my favorite exercises because they can be done without equipment—you need enough space to perform them in place! The squat jump involves doing a full-body squat down into position, then jumping up as high as possible while keeping your feet together (toes pointed). If this seems too easy for you, try adding dumbbells or resistance bands around your ankles while performing the movement.
Why do You Need to Exercise to Melt Fat?
Exercise helps burn fat, but you might also get fit.
Exercise is a great way to burn fat, but you might be surprised to learn that it is also a great way to get fit. One of the most common ways people exercise is by walking or running on the treadmill.
When you run on the treadmill, you will burn more calories than when you’re resting (no matter how long), so every time you step onto that treadmill and walk or run, your body will burn fat!
When you create a strength-based workout, you can increase the load on your body to reach new intensity levels. This will help you burn more calories and improve your overall physical performance. Strength training also helps build muscle by increasing the workload that your muscles are required to handle.
Muscle is the largest organ in our bodies, so when we have more muscle mass, our metabolic rate increases, leading us to burn fat faster than average.
Improve your metabolic rate.
Exercise can increase your metabolic rate by 10-15%. This means that if you have a resting metabolic rate of 1,000 calories after exercising, it could be up to 1,100 or so. And while this sounds like little, it all adds up over time.
Exercise also helps keep your metabolism steady throughout the day, so even if you don’t burn as many calories with exercise as you do during the workout, those extra calories will still get burned off over time.
If you want to get lean and toned or lose some fat and gain muscle, there are a lot of exercises to choose from. But, some are better than others when it comes to burning calories and melting away that unwanted fat around your body.
